After very, very careful tallying this weekend, we have the winner of our first ever Identity Kitchen Scholarship. CONGRATULATIONS, Lydia Shannon. She had 324 comments/votes…wow! Her enthusiasm was enough to win unprompted votes from members of my own family and dear friends. Lydia, we can’t wait to get started!

The five finalist were chosen because of their fine, fine work. You should be so proud of yourselves. J’Lynn’s photos stood out immediately. Though she only started her photography career in June of 2009, her photographic style feels like something that has been developed over many years. We were so overwhelmed with so many amazing and talented entries to our “scholarship contest”. It was extremely difficult to narrow it down to our final five, but we did. We will be posting each of our finalist one at a time. We are asking our audience to vote on your favorite. Later on today we will be posting our finalists for the identity scholarship. First, we need to share this amazing entry from Lydia Shannon. We love how much of her personality she put into her video, but her baking really blew us away…WOW!
