Garrett Davis is the best journalistic/editorial photographer I’ve worked with in 20 years in the newspaper business. He’s taken his outstanding eye and “feel” for his craft to new levels with his wedding, portrait and fashion photography. Certainly there are more experienced or established photographers. But there are none better.

Garrett is hands down the best photographer- with the most heart! He does an amazing job of capturing every detail and emotion.
I think my favorite photo of all time is the photo of one of the Michael Vicks fighting dogs. The physical pain of the dogs life showed in the photo,but what really was emotional was this dogs trust and love(after such abuse) that was captured in this photo,I didn’t realize until then how much could be said with or how much I could feel from a photo!He has such a wonderful talent for capturing the emotion and beauty and sometimes the pain, in everything,he deserves this prize more than I can say, and believe me I can say on and on!Go Garrett!!!

A picture is worth a thousand words? Garrett’s photography writes a novel each time he snaps the shutter. I’m not sure how me manages to capture so much emotion in his photographs, but his still pictures are almost like short videos, drawing you in, deeper and deeper. He certainly has my vote!
